LFA to make Las Vegas debut on eve of UFC pay-per-view

For the first time in promotion history, LFA is set to hold an event in Nevada.

On Tuesday, the promotion officially received a permit to hold a card Dec. 15 at Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas. The event will take place on the eve of what is expected to be UFC 296 at T-Mobile Arena in “Sin City.” The fight card has not yet been revealed.

In April, LFA was granted a promoter’s license in Nevada for the first time.

The upcoming Nevada card is added to a 2023 schedule that also currently includes events in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Niagara Falls, N.Y.; El Paso, Texas; and Santa Cruz, Calif.

LFA launched in 2017 as a byproduct of a merger of Legacy FC and Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA). Led by Ed Soares, Sven Bean, and Mark Bieri, LFA is widely regarded as the biggest feeder organization for the UFC in North America.

Since its formation, LFA has held 164 events in six years. Notable alumni include former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno, former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, UFC strawweight contender Mackenzie Dern, and a host of others.
