I understand other orgs have their own problems, but I use the UFC as the example because they are the NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL/etc of MMA.

It’s 2023 and Dana still runs the UFC like he’s Whitey Bugler. Its a real downer on my enjoyment of the UFC to know that the fighters are still being fucked and treated like cattle. Guys who risk their lives in the cage are thrown under the bus if they don’t jump exactly when, where, and how high the boss says. Poor Wonderboy, a guy who has fought and main evented many UFC cards over the years is still wondering if he’s going to get a cent of his pay because he refused to risk himself against an overweight, unprofessional opponent.

Crawford and Spence are reportedly set to pull in over 25 million each for a fight that drew 650k PPV buys. Poirier had a 750k guarantee, Gaethje had a 500k guarantee. I’m sure they got some extra on the PPV but I don’t either of them even sniffed 1.5 mil.

I know I’m not breaking any new ground or telling anyone here anything they don’t already know, but I’m just wondering if you guys can ever see a time when UFC fighters are actually treated right and what it would take?
