The official weigh-ins for Bellator 298 are in the books, and all but one fighter on the card hit their marks.
In the main event, former interim welterweight champion Logan Storley (14-2 MMA, 9-2 BMMA) takes on Brennan Ward (17-6 MMA, 12-6 BMMA). Ward, who is enjoying a career resurgence after a lengthy layoff, was 171 pounds. Storley camme in at 170.6.
In the co-feature, Valentin Moldavsky (11-3 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) meets Steve Mowry (10-0-1 MMA, 6-0-1 BMMA) at heavyweight. Mowry has more than a 20-pound advantage on the scale. He was 254.2; Moldavsky was 233.8.
Unbeaten women’s flyweight Diana Avsaragova (6-0 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) missed weight for her prelim fight against Justine Kish (8-6 MMA, 1-2 BMMA). She was 127.2 pounds and will be fined a percentage of her purse. Kish was on weight at 125.6.
The weigh-ins took place at the Bellator host hotel. The nearby Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
