On a random Sunday afternoon, I got to thinking. Who is a fighter who has never been a UFC champion to beat the most other champions. The idea came to me because of the presense of Neil Magny on the upcoming PPV. He beat Robbie Lawler and Johny Hendricks, which sounds impressive as long as you don’t look into it. So I did a little digging and got surprising results.
A few rules. Interim champions don’t count. Other promotional champions don’t count. This gets wacky because beating Big Nog doesn’t count but beating Tim Sylvia does. But I wanted to keep it consistent so, here we are. Let me know if I missed anyone.
Big Nog: Couture, Coleman, Hendo, Ricco Rodriguez, Werdum, Barnett, Sylvia. (7)
Fedor: Rampage, Arlovsky, Mir, Sylvia, Coleman, Randleman. (6)
Overeem: Belfort, Lesnar, Werdum, Mir, JDS, Arlovsky. (6)

Gegard Mousasi: Machida, Weidman, Belfort, Hendo
