BOSTON – Sean O’Malley proved all the doubters wrong Saturday at TD Garden when he flattened Aljamain Sterling and captured the UFC bantamweight title.

In the UFC 292 main event, O’Malley (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) face-planted Sterling (23-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) with a single blow – and then continued his attack until the TKO stoppage at 0:51 or Round 2.

In rare fashion, the UFC shared the full knockout sequence on their social media accounts following the conclusion of the event – perhaps speaking to the star power of O’Malley. Watch the full finish below.
