UFC free fight: Anthony Smith submits Ryan Spann after wild, one-round Fight of the Night contest
Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann gave fans a wild show in their first clash. Now, almost two years later, they’ll get a chance to do it again.
This Saturday at UFC Fight Night 225, Smith and Spann will rematch in the co-main event of the card, which takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. The event streams on ESPN+.
Spann and Smith first fought in September 2021 in the main event of UFC Fight Night 192. Although Spann connected well and escaped tough positions in the first four minutes of fighting, Smith eventually was able to find Spann’s back, sink in the rear-naked choke, and get the tap. It was a wild, first-round fight that won Fight of the Night awards.
