Would you guys prefer full-body cardio or spilt workouts for MMA?

I’ve been training in boxing and taekwondo generally, for fun. I’ve trained the techniques with seriousness but not really much like warmup or exercise and I want to change that. I bought a decent boxing bag ( 35kg – works well for my weight class ). I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past few months and replace it with muscle. What would you recommend for the MMA build, good muscle but it wouldn’t slow you down.
