We’ve heard a lot about how ONE disguised itself as an MMA promotion and then once you get into them, you’ll see that it’s heavily Muay Thai dominated. I mean, it’s a genius marketing move, it’s been a great way of turning a lot of MMA fans (myself included) into Muay Thai fans. But the common valid criticism is that their MMA division isn’t as stacked as it should be and is lacking heavily. Aside from your big names, it comes off as paper thin. I wouldn’t want to see it go away entirely, but considering Chatri doesn’t value MMA and Kickboxing that much, I think if placed under proper subsidiary management they could flesh out more fighters and beef up the division a bit more to get casuals invested more.
