I have been training about 8-9 months now which obviously isn’t very long at all. At my gym we have a few different coaches and I’m getting slightly conflicting advice. Some have advised we use dutch style kicks as they are harder to read and are quicker and others have said we should use muay thai kicks as they hit harder and are less likely to hit the elbow.
I find dutch kicks a lot easier to throw and can actually throw head kicks with them, but as my coaches have pointed out I get a lot more power out of my Muay Thai style kicks I’m just wondering what everyone reckons is the better style to practice?
