Francis Ngannou is daring to be great by taking on the toughest possible challenge in his boxing debut.
This Saturday, former UFC heavyweight champ Ngannou will step into the ring to face WBC heavyweight champ Tyson Fury in a massive crossover boxing match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Just getting to this point is a win of sorts for Ngannou, as he proved countless doubters wrong. Many said he should have not walked away from the UFC. Others said he “fumbled the bag” by betting on himself. Well, Ngannou cashed that longshot bet. The boxing match against Fury, along with other big things in the PFL on the MMA side of things are all a reality thanks to his perseverance and self-belief.
But now that we’re here, what exactly does Ngannou have to lose against Fury? Oddsmakers have Ngannou as a massive underdog. Boxing pundits have written off his chances, and Fury himself already has another big title fight scheduled for December 23 against Oleksandr Usyk.
