His fight against Yan was absolutely insane I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a cardio-intensive performance. After watching the first round, I thought he was going to gas in the 2nd or 3rd round but he went all 5 rounds! Not only that, at the end of it, he wasn’t even breathing hard. Yan fought pretty well I thought, he stuffed most of the takedown attempts but he gassed towards the end of the fight and Merab was able to piece him up on the feet. Yan just had no room to get his game going. He couldn’t reset at all and Merab just went at him full speed for the entire fight. No dip in speed, no dip in explosiveness and no dip in power.
